Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ for Ann L. Williams, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Williams, 88, died Monday, January 30, 2006 at Lakeview Christian Home Northgate in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The grandsons will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be great-grandsons Brandon Joy, David Pounds, Jared Pounds, Kolbyn Joy, Dustin Pounds, Stuart Joy, Daniel Pounds, Braeden Morgan, Zane Pittam, Jeffrey Fanning, Brice Morgan, and Zaac Pittam. Mrs. Williams was born January 11, 1918 in Horton, Kansas; the daughter of Thomas Edgar Bowser and Bessie Lillian Ray Bowser. On Aug. 7, 1936 she was married to George C. Williams in Prescott, Arizona. She came to Artesia in 1940 from Flagstaff, Arizona. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1993. She was a Real Estate Agent and worked for Maddux Monument for many years in the Artesia office. She was a member of Hermosa Drive Church of Christ, and had many artistic talents including one of her favorites oil painting. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Carole Aynne Fanning. Survivors include daughter Dixie Pounds and husband Doyle of Artesia; sisters Barbaralee Paxton of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mary Lou Knoles of Flagstaff; grandchildren Dwayne Pounds, Kathy Stamps, Donnie Pounds, Gary Fanning, Jr., Diana Joy, Deena Morgan and Daana Pittam; 18 great-grandchildren.
