Angela Valencia

Services are scheduled at 10:00AM Tuesday, June 17, at Victory Life Fellowship for Angela Diaz Valencia, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Valencia, 75, died Saturday, June 14, 2003 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Rodolfo Gonzalez will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Her sons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all other family members. Mrs. Valencia was born August 2,1927 in Santa Clara, Chihuahua, Mexico; the daughter of Santos Diaz and Maria Mendieta Diaz. On Nov. 1947 she was married to Pablo Valencia in Cardenas, Mexico. She came to Artesia in 1963 from Mexico. She was a housewife and member of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus. A prayer service is also scheduled at 7 p.m. Monday at the Apostolic Assembly located at 7th and Lolita. She was preceded in death by a grandson Jesse Hernandez III, a sister Loretta Cano and a brother Felix Diaz. Survivors include her husband Pablo Valencia of the family home; sons Israel Valencia of Artesia, Javier Valencia of Artesia, Pablo Valencia of Artesia, Armando Valencia of Artesia, Alonzo Valencia of Artesia, Robert Valencia of Lubbock, and Omar Valencia of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters Ernestina Federico of Artesia, and Yolanda Espinoza of Brigham, Utah; brother Rafael Diaz of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister Noemi Quinones of Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico; 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
