Andres Gabaldon

No public services are scheduled for Andres Gabaldon of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Gabaldon, 79, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at his home. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Gabaldon was born November 30, 1928 in Presidio, Texas; the son of Jesus Gabaldon and Jacoba Nabarrete Gabaldon. On Sept. 23, 1949 he was married to Maria Ponce in Artesia. He came to Artesia in 1948 from Texas. She preceded him in death April 25, 1986. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister Carolina Brito; and a grandson. Andres was a farm laborer and a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista. Survivors include his daughters Elidia Aguilar of Artesia, and Josie Mason of Grand Prairie, Texas; sons Paul Gabaldon, and Johnny Gabaldon both of Artesia; brother Pablo Gabaldon of Monahans, Texas; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
