Amanda Ortega

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Thursday, May 12, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Amanda DeAnne Ortega, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Ortega, 17, died Monday, May 9, 2005 at Artesia General Hospital. Fr. Richard Lifrak SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Samantha Herrera, Dimas Herrera, Anthony Herrera, Eian Watts, Lino Aguirre, and Bobby Cortez. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 P.M. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace Church Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday Mrs. Ortega was born September 12, 1987 in Artesia; the daughter of Manuel Ortega and Ruby Stone Ortega. She was a High School Student and member of the Church of God, participated in Track and Cross Country Track. Survivors include her parents Manuel and Ruby Ortega of Artesia; brothers Henry Ortega of Artesia, Justin Ortega of Artesia, Mario Olguin of Bernalillo, N.M., Michael Ortega of Artesia, Christopher Ortega of Artesia; sister Casey Ortega of Artesia; grandmothers Tina Marie Ortega of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mandy Marie Stone of California; aunts Rugie Vance of Artesia, and Loretta Parks of Albuquerque; numerous cousins.
