Alvanell Kennedy

No services are scheduled for Alvanell Abby Kennedy, 309 S. 40th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Kennedy, 70, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at her home. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuar. Mrs. Kennedy was born December 13, 1937 in Batesville, Arkansas; the daughter of John Anderson Richardson and Nellie RileyRichardson. She was a bartender and member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include daughter Tra Kennedy and Billy Gene Smith of Artesia; sisters Pat Madron of Odessa, Texas, and Lucy Pool of Odessa; sisters-in-law Georgia Kennedy of Carlsbad, N.M., and Barbara Richardson of Odessa; grandchildren Michael Vernon Sanders of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Tra Danielle Kennedy of Artesia; great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
