Grubs was a rancher, logger, cat skinner, trucker and a genius with bailing wire and a pair of pliers. If he was on anything that had Caterpillar, John Deere or Mack on it, he was happy. He loved good horses and fat cattle. Many happy days with his son, brother, brothers-in-law, grandsons and friends were spent deer and elk hunting and fishing from Alaska to Mexico. He was a musician, playing the fiddle, guitar and bass.
Grubs loved God, Rena Faye, his wife of 58 years, his two children and their spouses, five grandchildren and their spouses, five great grandchildren, his extended family and a host of great friends. His heart was bigger than his big, old hands. He made everyone around him happy. He was a gentle giant of a man.
