Services are scheduled at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 16, at Hope Church of Christ for Alta Marie Hunter, 89 Lecheguilla Rd. Hope, New Mexico. Mrs. Hunter, 90, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at Eastern N.M. Medical Center in Roswell, New Mexico. J.T. Ross will officiate at the services with burial at Upper Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marion Cauhape, Michael Casabonne, Steven Barley, Catarino Varelas, Wendall Parker, and Jim Marbach. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Hunter was born October 5, 1914 in Twincreek, Arkansas; the daughter of Tom Morrison and Geneva Schultz Morrison. On May 19, 1939 she was married to Lyle Hunter in Roswell. She came to Hope in 1937 from Arkansas. He preceded her in death Jan. 18, 1997. She was a School Teacher and member of Hope Church of Christ, Artesia Women's Club, Lifetime original member Yucca Cowbelles, and a 4-H Leader. Survivors include daughters Joan Kincaid and husband David of Pinon, N.M., and Joyce Laumbach and husband Pete of Hope; brother Byron Morrison of Everett, Washington; sister Dorlis McRay of Galveston, Texas; sister-in-Law Evlyn Morrison of Santa Fe, Texas; grandchildren Meme Bean and husband Tommy, Marc Kincaid and wife Tammy, Amy Reynolds and husband Greg, and DeeDee Laumbach; great-grandchildren Josh Beeman, Justin Bean, Cole Kincaid, Makayla Reynolds, and Destinee Laumbach. Memorial contributions may be made to Casa Maria Health Care Center - Roswell, N.M.
