Services are scheduled at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 6 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lake Arthur, N.M. for Alma A. Guillen of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Ms. Guillen, 29, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Deacon John Lucero will officiate at the services with burial at Lake Arthur Cemetery. A rosary service is also planned for 7:00 P.M. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Alma was born August 4, 1972 in Artesia, New Mexico; the daughter of Armando Guillen and Eduvijen Trivizo Guillen. She was a lifelong Lake Arthur resident until moving to Carlsbad in 1999. She was a cook at a fast food restaurant and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Ms. Guillen was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a brother Juan Guillen of Andrews, Texas; sisters Rosaelva Guillen of Carlsbad and Marisol Amaya of Grand Prairie, Texas; grandparents Pedro and Guadalupe Guillen of Chihuahua, Mexico; three nephews, six nieces; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
