Alice Lopez

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 21 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Alice Romero Lopez of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Lopez, 59, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park following the services. Pallbearers will be Ivan Aguirre, Zachary Jimenez, Edward Canales, Albert Lopez, Bobby Olguin, and Eloy Aguirre.

A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Thursday at 9:30 a.m.

Alice was born October 3, 1956 the daughter of Juan H. Lopez and Leonarda (Romero) Lopez in Artesia.

She was a lifelong Artesia resident.

Alice worked as a caregiver and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping and traveling and loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother; grandson Fernando Hoerath; and her grandparents.

Alice is survived by her father Juan Lopez of Artesia; sons Timothy Hoerath and wife Alice of Artesia, Matthew Hoerath and wife Mary of Roswell, N.M., and John William Hoerath of Artesia; sisters Diana Losoya and husband Joey of Artesia and Mary Helen Aguirre of Artesia; brothers Johnny R. Lopez and Christine Scheikh of Carlsbad and Orlando R. Lopez and wife Susan of Artesia; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
