Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 29 at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Alice Victoria Davis of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Davis, 86, died Friday, April 25, 2003 in Artesia. Rev. Jean Riley will officiate at the services. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Davis was born August 30, 1916 in Winters, Texas; the daughter of William Thomas Till and Birdie Ledbetter Till. In 1934 she was married to Wilburn C. Davis in Levelland, Texas. They came from Texas to Artesia in 1940. Her husband preceded her in death January 4, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and by brothers Bill Till, George Till, and W. T. Till. She and her husband owned and operated Davis Pumping Service and she was a charter member of Clark Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son Jimmy W. Davis of Artesia; daughters Jackie Midkiff of Corpus Christi, Texas and Vicki Rodriguez of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren Jimmy W. Davis, Jr. of Midland, Texas, Michael W. Davis of Hondo, N.M., Juli Walterman of Corpus Christi, Greg Isaacs of Santa Fe, N.M., and Dana Ortega of Santa Fe; great-grandchildren Jenny Davis, Lance Davis, Joey Davis, Lindsey Davis, Matt Davis, Jordan Walterman, and Madi Ortega; and by one great-great-granddaughter, Carrie Davis.
