Alfredo Duarte

No services are scheduled for Alfredo Duarte, 17 Jerry Drive, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Duarte, 73, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Artesia General Hospital. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son. Mr. Duarte was born July 9, 1934 in General Trias, Chihuahua, Mexico; the son of Miguel Arias Duarte and Manuela Burrola Duarte. On Jan. 29, 1962 he was married to Gloria Becerra in General Trias, Mexico. He came to Artesia in 1950 from Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Alfredo Duarte Jr. Survivors include his wife Gloria Duarte; sons Noe Duarte of Ellettville, Indiana, and Gabriel Duarte of Artesia; daughters Veronica Perez of Albuquerque, N.M., Isabel Abeyta of Las Vegas, N.M., Abigail Duarte of Albuquerque, and Gloria Ramos of Carlsbad, N.M.; brothers Toribio Duarte, Miguel Duarte, Hector Duarte, and Armando Duarte all of Mexico; sisters Amelia Duarte of Mexico, Martina Valdez of Mexico, Antonia Frescas of Mexico, Ester Duarte of Albuquerque, and Elvira Duarte of Mexico; 21 grandchildren.
