Aldo Rayos

July 20, 1994 — September 16, 2020

Aldo Rene Rayos (a.k.a. Aldito) flashed his last award worthy smile on September 16th, 2020 at the young age of 26.

Born on July 20th, 1994 to Aldo Garcia Rayos and Naomi Catano Rayos in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Signing off on a life chalk full of deep belly laughs, an infinite amount of love, and an intense allegiance to the Miami Dolphins. His Bulldog days were some of his favorites. Big man on campus feel, his football career from start to finish was hall of fame worthy. Faith, family, and football are the three words that come to mind when we think about Aldito. Football season with Aldito consisted of watching his beloved Miami Dolphins play. Although losing most of the time, they managed to pull off an occasional win. Aldito was known to make excuses for his team, “next year is going to be our year.” Eventually the family couldn’t bare to see him experience the disappointment alone, so we all converted.

Anywhere Aldito went, laughter quickly followed. He was never that bratty little brother avoided or pushed aside. Our much needed family time consisted of watching movies and tv shows of which he almost always quoted lines word for word. He often used those lines to bring a laugh or smile to our faces. Aldito will always be described as the most respectful, most thoughtful, and most considerate man around. The etiquette and respect Aldito had for people could make anyone feel like a heel. He was so proud of everyone in his life and he visibly showed us that. We could often see him beaming with pride when he would reflect on his family and their lives. More often than not, he asked us about our lives and how we were doing, rarely did he talk about himself or put himself in the limelight. Some of our fondest memories of Aldito are the simple things, weekly family dinners together, vegging out in front of the tv all weekend watching movies we had seen numerous times because he talked during every movie we ever watched, especially the movies he had already seen. He often would play with his niece Charlotte and nephew Charles with pure enjoyment as he would twirl them around and toss them on the bed. We can still see the big grins, hear the giggles & the repeated requests “again please uncle baby tio.”

We are so blessed to have had Aldito in our lives, he loved the Lord and often talked about his many blessings. His favorite bible verse was Isaiah 40:31 NIV “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Praying daily, laughing often, and loving hard perfectly sums up who Aldito really was and brought to this world.

He was the youngest of three, the only boy among sisters Erica and Krysela (a.k.a. Meg), until he was a big brother to Ariah and Diego when Aldo married Kimberly. Aldito had not only a crew of friends but a family of friends, so tight knit that he felt a brotherly bond that was unshakeable amongst each one of them.

A few of his favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, gaming, watching movies, but what he loved to do the most was doing anything at all with his family or his friends.

Left with years of fond and colorful memories of this fun loving young man are his Grandparents Martin and Pristinia Catano, Jose and Elodia Rayos, Curtis and Debbie Tolle; brothers-in-law Morgan and Travis, his DOGter (dog Annie); close childhood buddies he would’ve given his right arm for, and his girlfriend Melissa whom he loved dearly.

Anyone who knew Aldito would tell you, “you’re gonna like this guy. He’s alright. He’s a good fella. He’s one of us.”

If desired, the family would like memorial contributions to be sent to a charity that meant a great deal to him. Commemorative donations may be mailed to: Autism Speaks 1060 State Road, Second Floor Princeton, NJ 08540.

A celebration of his life will begin on Thursday September 24th, 2020 at 4pm for a viewing and a Rosary to be recited at 6pm at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
