Aldo Grittini

October 29, 1928 — January 7, 2007

Mr. Grittini, 78, husband of Janet Grittini, died Sunday, January 7, at his home, 1114 S. 4th Street in Artesia, New Mexico. A private memorial service was held at the home. Elena Yoder, Chaplain with Vista Care Hospice officiated at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. A memorial service will also be held at a later date in Las Vegas, Nevada. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Friedberg, John Grittini, Michael Grittini, Cameron Grittini, and T.J. Thompson. Mr. Grittini was born October 29, 1928 in Perth, Australia; the son of Natali Grittini and Maria Gianni Grittini. On Aug. 3, 1972 he was married to Janet King in Artesia. He came to Artesia in April 7, 2006 from Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a Maitre'd for Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Amelia and husband Micali Dario, brother-in-law Freddy Steib, and beloved son Dario Grittini who died Oct. 9, 2005. Survivors include wife Janet Grittini of the family home; son John Grittini of London, England; daughters Marisa Grittini Friedberg and husband Robert of Chicago, Illinois, and Stacy Grittini of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters Olga Steib of Geneva, Switzerland, and Ida Entwistle of Ottawa, Canada; grandchildren Natalie Davison and husband Troy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Christina Grittini of St. George, Utah, Michael Grittini, Cameron Grittini, TJ Thompson, Taylour Sloate and Brandon Angelo all of Las Vegas, Emma Friedberg and Joshua Friedberg of Chicago.
