Alan Lecompte

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 20 at Terpening Son Mortuary for Alan Raymond LeCompte of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. LeCompte, 52, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 near Artesia. Cremation is under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Honorary pallbearers will be Tracy Mobbley, Phillip LeCompte, Phil LeCompte, Jerry Jewell, and Robert Dobbins. Mr. LeCompte was born August 14, 1951 in Ludlow, Massachusetts; the son of Albert LeCompte and Phyllis Lavigne LeCompte. He served in the United States Marine Corps and came to Artesia in 1983 from California. On January 1, 1998 he was married to Shana Mobbley in Artesia. He was a truck driver for Swift Trucking Company. The greatest joy in his life was his family, his dogs and his home. He was preceded in death by a sister Carol Ann, a son Billy and by his grandparents. Survivors include wife Shana LeCompte of the family home; his parents Al and Phyllis LeCompte of Artesia; sons Phillip LeCompte and Paul LeCompte both of Artesia, and Ty Gibbs of Helix, Oregon; a daughter Kortni Gibbs of Helix; sisters Dottie Fay of Galt, Calif., Lynne Jewell of Post, Texas, and Linda Dobbins and Tina Roncalli both of Artesia; a brother Phillip LeCompte of Artesia; granddaughters Amanda and Kylee LeCompte of Artesia; a grandson Austin LeCompte of Artesia; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
