A.K. Miller

Graveside services are scheduled at 3:30 p.m. Monday, November 6, at Woodbine Cemetery for A.K. Miller, 34 Gary Drive, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Miller, 77, died Friday, November 3, 2006 at Artesia General Hospital. Rev. J. B. Craft and Wayne Bedingfield will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Robby Miller, David Leon, George Chase Sr., Kyle Kimple, Marvin Thompson, and Buck Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers will be Flint Miller, Willie Wolf, George Chase Jr., Merle Tidwell, Bill Houghtling, Ronny Derrick and Brandon Brown. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday Mr. Miller was born April 11, 1929 in Dickens, Texas; the son of Albert Kyle Miller and Virdie Roberts Miller. He came to Artesia in 1947 from Texas. On Nov. 10, 1948 he was married to Margie A. Donovan in Pecos, Texas. She preceded him in death July 19, 1995. He was a mechanic, farmer and fisherman. He attended Pinon Baptist Church and West Main Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Timmy, Danny and Joe Miller, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include sons Mike Miller and wife Jan of Artesia, and Steve Miller of Rio Rancho, N.M.; daughter-in-law Karen Miller of Allen, Texas; brother C.E. Miller and wife Edith of Artesia;, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
