Agnes Walker

Private memorial services will be held by the family at a later date for Agnes H. Walker of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Walker, 87, died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Cremation is under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. Walker was born September 22, 1918 in Maybell, Colorado; the daughter of Joseph K. Blecha and Mary J. Kolbaba Blecha. On Oct. 26, 1956 she was married to John 0. Walker in Rifle, Colorado. She came to Artesia in July 1995 from Apache Junction, Arizona. He preceded her in death Sept. 29, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister, and two grandsons. She worked as a homemaker. Survivors include her son J.D. Walker and wife Kelly of Livingston, Texas; daughters Donna Gary of Artesia, and Janet Rauch and husband John of Artesia; brother Otto Blecha and wife Arlene of Canyon City, Colorado; 8 granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-greatgrandsons.
