Adrian Cunningham

A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Terpening & Son Mortuary, for Adrian Cunningham of Artesia, New Mexico.

Dr. Gary Roberts will officiate the services.

Long-time resident, Adrian Leo Cunningham (nickname Motor) passed on March 17, 2023 at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Adrian was born in Artesia, New Mexico on August 4, 1960 to Charles Cunningham Sr. and Frankie Lee Cunningham (Smith).

Adrian attended the Artesia Independent School District. He later served in the United States Army Reserves from June 1979 to June 1985. Adrian had a love for the game of basketball and the Dallas Cowboys.

Adrian was employed with James Baker Oil Company for many years until 2007. The company was then purchased by Wakefield Oil Company where he worked until his passing.

He leaves to cherish his memory two children: Valerie Orosco of Artesia, NM and Domisha Williams (Brad)of Lubbock, TX. Three brothers: Charles Cunningham Jr.(Stella) of Humble, TX, Cameron Cunningham(Irma) of Roswell, NM, and Darrell Cunningham of Houston, TX. Thirteen grandchildren: Nicodemis Hernandez, Nemicio Hernandez, Nehemiah Hernandez, Sienna Hernandez, Sierra Hernandez, Javin Adrian Carrera, Brayshon Williams, La’Quan Williams, Dezmond Williams, Breasia Williams, Javin Orosco, Elijah Gutierrez, and Jordan Gutierrez. One great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, beloved relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Cunningham Sr. and Frankie Lee Cunningham and daughter, Heather Sanchez.
