Adrian Briseno

Adrian Joel Briseño, 56, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021. He was born to Roberto Briseño and Juanita Briseño, on February 11, 1965 in Artesia, NM. He graduated from Artesia High School in 1983 and went on to study Wild Life Management at New Mexico State University. Adrian worked at Sears, Revco, Colortyme and Enterprise Products. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2009 he worked a few more years before retiring.

He enjoyed family, friends, hunting, fishing, traveling, camping. An avid photographer, he took many pictures for family and friends. He took great pride in his yard work and gardening. He was a godparent to many and taught many others how to hunt and fish. Towards the end of his life he was surrounded by his family and friends. He especially enjoyed Sunday Mass, receiving the Eucharist and praying the rosary every evening with his family and friends who prayed for the grace of a holy and happy death.

Adrian is survived by brother David Briseño and wife Margaret, brother Fr. Miguel Briseño, OFM Conv., brother Leonel Briseño and wife Lucille, sister Celina Aguirre and husband Domingo, and brother Felipe Briseño and wife Ida; 15 nieces and nephews, 28 great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nephews.

He was preceded in death by sister Teresa Briseño, brother Martin Briseño and wife Sophia, mother Juanita Briseño, father Roberto Briseño, and a niece Sophia.

The family has entrusted Terpening & Son Mortuary with the arrangements. A Vigil is scheduled for 7pm Wednesday June 2, 2021 and Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10am Thursday June 3, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church 1111 N Roselawn Artesia, NM. Fr. Miguel Briseño, OFM Conv. will officiate the ceremony.
