Alonso Valdes

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9 at Terpening & Son Mortuary for Alonso Luis Valdes of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Valdes, 28, died June 2, 2020 at Artesia General Hospital.

Fr. Frances Lazer will officiate at the services with cremation to follow the services. Pallbearers will be George Urquidi, Felipe Chavez, Trey Neely, Abe Hernandez, Junior Jaramillo, Terry Neely.]

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Monday, June 8 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Alonso was born November 7, 1991 in Hobbs NM to Alfonso Valdez and Sylvia Acosta and was raised in Tribune, Kansas.

He is survived by his mother Sylvia Acosta of Artesia; father Alfonso Valdes Sr from Garden City Ks; step father Terry Neely from Artesia; sisters and brothers include Edna Valdez of Hobbs N.M., Jennifer Valdez of Satanta Ks, and Alfonso Valdes Jr of Scott City Ks; step-sister Armida Zuniga from Hobbs. He is a father of four children Alonso Valdes Jr, and Andrew Valdes from Garden City Ks and Adalie Valdez and Jayden Valdes from Albquerque N.M.

Alonso was a very gernerous man, always prepared to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed many things like; working around vehicles. He also enjoyed: fishing, socializing but, most importantly; enjoyed his time with his family. He touch many hearts during his lifetime. Alonso will be greatly loved and missed. Gone but never forgotten. Until we meet again. Rest easy Gordo.
