Marina, Martin Sr., Hugo, Martin Jr., Iman, Yaritzl and all other family and friends:
My heart breaks for all of you…condolences. (Latin root of "condolences" = "pains (felt) together/with"). Nothing anyone can do and no sorrow expressed can anything approach your unspeakable loss. Even from the distance of never having met Alfredo, it’s easy to see what a fine and lovely young man he is and was! How blessed you were to have had him with you! (Not a close friend of Hugo, here, but a friend.) Very many of us love you all and are praying for you.
God bless and keep Alfredo as he continues his journey in the world beyond and bless all you who love him with strength, courage and patience for all the days until you embrace each other again. Again, my heart breaks for you. May your days be fruitful and find happiness despite the immense, present sadness—an eventual happiness that surely Alfredo wants you to have. Living fully for him will honor him, despite what we cannot see and cannot today understand.
