Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27 at Terpening & Son Mortuary Chapel for William Chad (Little) Simer of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Little, 43, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at his home.

Pastor Michael Elliott will officiate at the service. Burial will be at a later date.

Chad was born July 22, 1974 to Ms. Elizabeth Ann (Simer) Gidak in Roswell, N.M.

He was a lifelong Artesia resident. Chad was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed camping with his family and loved being on the radio as he was known as "Blind Chad" on the Country Giant.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother James David Simer.

He is survived by his mother Ann Gidak and husband Edward of Artesia; son Nicholas Gage Simer and wife Lucero of Artesia; grandson Lukas Andrew Simer of Artesia; uncles Doug Simer and his wife Sheila, Gene Simer and his wife Kay, Mike Simer and his wife Nancy; aunt Sue Dean; numerous cousins; niece Madison Simer; and nephews Vance Simer and Jakota Mathews.
